Welcome to dA!

It appears I'm almost the first to add works of yours to my faves — and definitely the first to comment on any of them. For me, that's a special pleasure. Comments ought to accompany favorites.

And it's an honor for me to be the first to comment on your home page and to *watch* you, for your understated storytelling style. I look forward to more such works!

Visitors should check out the superb work in his Scrapbook, by the way ... he's being much too modest!

Thanks. I probably have to add some profile stuff and so on ;)

As for the pictures in the scrapbook. There are details in each of them that I was not happy enough with to put them with the regular ones.

And now I have to figure out what the Llama badges are good for...

Well, a few more details do help us visualize who's at "the other end of the line." I know I like to think of an artist or writer as a multi-faceted person, as far as possible, rather than a disembodied presence.

Scrapbooks are exactly for what you say ... my only concerns are that they're too often overlooked by visitors, and that artists are often too hard on their earlier or less favorite work.

And the llamas — you've got another one now — are just gestures of friendship and appreciation. (They only started a few weeks ago.) You can give one to any member with the "Give" button on his or her profile page.
